Everything You Need to Know About Attendance Monitoring

Monitoring employee attendance is a core operational need for any organization. In Staffinc Suite, multiple pages and tools work together to help admins track, review, and validate attendance records with accuracy and efficiency. This guide provides an overview of each monitoring page, what it is used for, and how they connect to one another.

Attendance monitoring in Staffinc Suite is designed to handle organizations of all sizes — from those with highly mobile field workers to those with office-based teams — ensuring every check-in, check-out, leave request, overtime entry, and dispute can be reviewed completely and consistently.

What Is Attendance Monitoring?

Attendance Monitoring refers to all features in Staffinc Suite that allow admins to review, validate, and analyze workers’ attendance behavior. These features enable you to:

  • Verify attendance accuracy
  • Track and approve attendance-related requests (leave, overtime, dispute)
  • Drill down from high-level summaries to detailed records
  • Ensure compliance with attendance policies
  • Maintain accountability with approval logs and review trails

Attendance Monitoring consists of several interconnected pages within the Staffinc Suite portal.

Pages for Monitoring Attendance

1. Approval Management (Pending Approval Page)

The Approval Management page centralizes all attendance-related requests that require admin action. This is the main workspace for validating operational exceptions.

Admins can approve or reject:

  • Pending Attendances
  • Pending Leave Requests
  • Pending Overtime Requests
  • Pending Dispute Requests

This ensures timely validation and prevents bottlenecks in daily operations.

2. Attendance Overview

Attendance Overview is the high-level dashboard that displays attendance recap data for many employees across up to 31 days at a time.

It is designed for large-volume monitoring, allowing admins to:

  • Identify attendance patterns and irregularities
  • Monitor overtime occurrences at scale
  • Review summarized statuses such as Present, Absent, Leave, etc.

From here, admins can drill down to investigate specific employee behavior.

3. Daily Overview

The Daily Overview page is accessed directly from Attendance Overview.
It is used to zoom in on a single employee on a specific date, displaying all attendance, leave, and overtime activity for that person on that day.

This page allows admins to:

  • View the employee’s attendance status for that date
  • Review any leave request recorded on that date
  • Examine overtime entries for that date
  • Identify discrepancies requiring review or approval
  • Open the detailed Attendance, Leave, Overtime, or Dispute modals

Daily Overview serves as the bridge between the high-level recap (Attendance Overview) and the detailed data pages.

4. Attendance Details

Attendance Details is the most detailed breakdown of a single attendance record and can be accessed from Daily Overview by selecting an attendance ID.

Admins can view:

  • Check-in & check-out timestamps
  • Selfie verification images
  • GPS/geofence validation information
  • Attached marks and tags (Invalid Selfie, WFH, Business Trip, etc.)
  • Any modifications or corrections applied
  • System-generated logs (when applicable)

This page provides everything needed to validate or investigate an attendance record thoroughly.

5. Leave, Overtime, and Dispute Details

Each request type—Leave, Overtime, and Dispute—opens as its own popup/modal from the Daily Overview page.

These pages display:

  • Full request information submitted by the employee
  • Any attached documentation or notes
  • Complete approval workflow logs, including:
    • Who approved/rejected
    • Their approval layer or role
    • Timestamp of every action

These details ensure transparency and accountability for all decisions.

Conclusion

Staffinc Suite offers a complete ecosystem for monitoring attendance — from broad summaries to the most detailed record views. Each page serves a specific purpose, and together they provide admins with the tools needed to:

  • Maintain accurate attendance data
  • Enforce attendance policies consistently
  • Detect issues early
  • Improve operational oversight
  • Ensure every approval action is traceable

Understanding how these pages connect allows admins to manage employee attendance with confidence and efficiency.
