Everything You Need to Know About Working Group
Introduction
This article provides a complete understanding of how Working Group functions within Staffinc Suite. Working Group is explained as a flexible tagging system used to classify employees based on categories such as Region, Division, Level, and more. As each client may require different tagging structures, Working Group can be fully customized according to operational needs.
Using Working Group helps simplify filtering across multiple data points, making employee management more efficient.
How Working Group Works – Step-by-Step
1. Create Multiple Working Groups per Client
The first step is defining the Working Groups that your organization or client needs. Since it is fully configurable, you can create as many Working Groups as required to match your business structure.
Examples: Region, Division, Department, Level, Position.
2. Add Levels Under Each Working Group
Each Working Group can contain Levels, which represent the hierarchy or category layers within that group.
For example:
- Working Group: Region → Levels: Region, Province, City, Regency, Sub district
- Working Group: Division → Levels: Division, Sub Division
3. Create Multiple Nodes Under Each Level
Nodes represent the most detailed classification. A Level can have multiple nodes depending on your needs.
Example for Region Level (City):
- Bandung
- Bekasi
- Karawang
These nodes provide more precise filtering options later on.
4. Assign Nodes to Employees
Once the Working Group structure is ready, the final step is assigning the nodes to each employee.
This ensures that employees are tagged correctly based on the defined hierarchy.
The assigned nodes will later help in:
- Filtering employees
- Generating segmented reports
- Applying conditions for scheduling or tasks
