How to Assign Leave Policies and Approval Rules to Employee
This article guides you on how to assign Leave Policies and its Approval Rules to employees through their profile in Staffinc Suite. This setup ensures proper entitlements and approval flows for leave management.
Step-by-Step Guide:
- Go to Employee List Page
From the sidebar, click Employees → Employee List. - Click the “Import” Button
On the top right of the page, click the “Import” dropdown. - Select “Assign Leave Policy & Approval Rule”
Choose “Assign Leave Policy & Approval Rule” from the dropdown menu. - Export the Template to Email
In the pop-up modal, click the option to export the template. The system will send a download link to your email. - Fill in the Template File
Open the downloaded Excel file from your email and enter:- Employee ID
- Eligibility of Leave Policy ID
- Approval Rule ID
- Upload the Completed File
Return to the import modal and upload the updated file. - Review the Upload Results
The system will display the upload summary.- If there are any failed rows, you can download the error file to review and correct issues.
- Successful Assignments Are Automatically Applied
Once the upload is complete, employees in successful rows will immediately have the new leave policies and approval rules applied to their profiles. You can view them over at Employee Details page.
Using the bulk assignment feature for leave policies and approval rules improves efficiency, reduces manual entry, and ensures accurate configuration across all employees in Staffinc Suite.
