How to Set Up Overtime Policy
This article explains how to configure an Overtime Policy in Staffinc Suite. You will learn where to set it up, how to define calculation methods, and how to apply the policy so overtime is tracked and calculated properly.
Step-by-Steps
- Go to Settings → Company Settings
- Open Overtime Policy under the Attendance section
- Click + Add Overtime Policy
- Name your policy clearly
- Set overtime calculation method
- Choose Manual or Automatic calculation.
- If Manual Calculation is selected:
- Decide whether employees can select all hours & minutes freely, or
- Customize available options (e.g., only hours 0, 1, 2, 3).
- If Automatic Calculation is selected:
- Admin can enable a rounding rule.
- If rounding is enabled:
- Set parameters from 0 minutes up to 59 minutes, and define the rounded result.
- Save to activate policy.
