Why can’t I see the Check-In or Check-Out button today?

The Check-In and Check-Out buttons will not appear if you are not assigned to an attendance policy. Assigning an attendance policy is required for the Staffinc Work app to display CI/CO buttons.
Explanation
In Attendance BETA, the Check-In (CI) and Check-Out (CO) buttons are shown only when an employee is linked to an attendance policy.
If no attendance policy is assigned:
- The system does not know which attendance rules apply to the employee
- The Staffinc Work app will hide the Check-In / Check-Out buttons entirely
This behavior is by design and is not a system defect.
Possible Reasons You Can’t See the Check-In / Check-Out Button
The CI/CO buttons will not be visible if:
- No attendance policy is assigned to the employee
- Without an assigned policy, attendance actions cannot be performed.
- The employee was newly created or recently updated
- The attendance policy may not have been assigned yet by the admin.
Step-by-Step Troubleshooting
- Confirm whether an attendance policy is assigned
- Check the employee profile in Staffinc Suite.
- Contact your admin or HR team
- Ask them to assign the correct attendance policy to your profile.
- Reopen or refresh the Staffinc Work app
- Once the policy is assigned, the Check-In / Check-Out buttons will appear automatically.
Important Notes
- An attendance policy is mandatory to use Attendance BETA features.
- This is expected system behavior, not a bug.
- CI/CO buttons will appear immediately after a valid attendance policy is assigned.
