How to Safely Delete a Channel with Employees Assigned
The Channels feature allows you to create and manage operational work locations used across your organization. When a channel is no longer needed, you have the option to delete it. However, if the channel has employees currently assigned to it, the deletion will have a direct impact on those employees. Once a channel with assigned employees is deleted, those employees will no longer be able to access their assigned channels or perform visitation activities on mobile until a new Visitation Policy is assigned to them. Because of this, it is important to fully understand the impact of the deletion before proceeding, to avoid unintentionally disrupting your employees' ability to carry out their work.
Deleting a channel that has employees assigned to it is a permanent action that cannot be undone. Before proceeding, make sure you have a plan to reassign affected employees to a new Visitation Policy so their access and mobile activities are not left interrupted.
