How Pending Channels Behave Before Approval

When Auto Approval is disabled, newly created channels remain in a status until an Admin User reviews and approves or rejects the request. This review process allows organizations to validate employee-submitted channel information before making it available for operational use. In this guide, you'll learn how pending channels behave before approval and how their status affects both employees and administrators.

Before a pending channel is approved, the employee who created it cannot use the channel for visitation, and it does not appear as an active channel within the mobile application. The channel remains unavailable until an administrator completes the review process, ensuring that only approved channel data can be used in daily operations.

From the Client Portal, administrators can review pending channel requests, inspect the submitted information, and decide whether to approve or reject each request. During this period, the channel remains in a read-only state, and all review activities are recorded in the Activity Log to provide a transparent audit trail.

Understanding how pending channels behave helps both employees and administrators know what to expect during the review process. This controlled workflow helps maintain data quality while ensuring that only verified channels become available for assignments and visitation activities.
